All set for Maltina’s cycling Vitality race

The spade work of the 4th edition of the Maltina cycling Vitality race has now been completed, and it is now left for Sunday for the commencement of the competition which will attract over 50 cyclists countrywide.
The competition will start at mid day from Wellington to Waterloo on to Tokeh, returning to the Bunker beach Bar at Lumley beach.
The competition is sponsored by the Sierra Leone Brewery company who recently held a press conference in connection with the competition.
The commercial manager in the company Kobi Walker who deputized the managing Director John Mbonu in his statement said that he is extremely delighted to announce that Maltina our Non-alcoholic multivitamin enriched malt drink that delivers nourishment, care and vitality always is once again sponsoring the fourth edition. Maltina which is a nourishing drink always caters for all categories of people particular the youth and had always maintained an atmosphere of interaction showcasing the nourishment and vitality aspects of the brand.
Kobi mentioned that Maltina has been actively involved in sponsoring various social events across Sierra Leone including Maltina School relays, Maltina beach Volleyball, Maltina school kiosks, maltina academic excellence award, and many more activities         
 He explained further that early this year the brand repositioned itself and took on new looks bringing out the true nourishing value of the drink.
“Maltina in the same vein along with the National Cycling Association will now present the fourth edition of the Vitality Race thereby relating the brand’s proposition to this internationally well known sport event” he said.
Kobi Walker stated that this gesture is aligned with their Corporate Social Responsibility which shows the Brewery’s core value of respect, passion for quality, enjoyment, leisure, pleasure and fun.
He said that the Maltina drink is creating an advantage over the other cyclists in the neighboring countries that is why they have won the peace Cycling competition for the past two years now.
He stated that they appreciate what the cyclists are doing and that is why they are coming on board to be sponsored.      
On behalf of management and staff of Sierra Leone Brewery Mr Walker wished the participating cyclists every success in the fourth edition of the Maltina Vitality cycling race
The President of the Cycling Association Winston DC Crowther said because the Brewery sponsored the association over the past year’s that is why the cyclists are performing very well in international competition.
He said by sponsoring such competition “you are also helping the cyclists in training which enable them to achieve their goal over the past years.”
President Crowther also noted that this year’s competition is more organised than the past three years and their total cash prize of 3.5 million Leones is for the various winners.
