All roads lead to the National Stadium this weekend, as the National Football Hero‘s of Sierra Leone will battle with their Nigerian counterparts on Sunday.
The competition would start on Saturday with Services Secondary School playing against Independent Secondary School in the first match; and in the second match, Eastern Female combined would battle it out with Western Female combined.
In the third match, Mighty Blackpool would lock horns with FC Kallon; and the last match for the day would be played between East End Lions and Ports Authority. On Sunday, the Local Government would engage Central Government; and in the next match the two winners of the premier league would play in the finals, before the hero’s match.
The Nigerians were expected to arrive yesterday for the all important match with a 25 -man delegation. Some of the players expected to make the trip for the Nigerians are Samson Siasia; Finidi George; Daniel Amokachi; Rashid Yekini; Sunday Oliseh and a host of other players.
For the Sierra Leonean side, players like Ahmed Kanu; Kemokai Kallon; Chico Myers; Prince Tamba Moses; Michael Effiong; Aki Noah; Abu Sankoh; John Ajina Sesay; Brima Mazola; Abdulai De Cox Sesay; Charlie Wright and Joseph Toby are expected to be part of the team.
According to the Organizing Secretary, Ekoh Nelson the prices for tickets are as follows; open stand, Le 2,000; covered stand, Le 5,000 and Presidential pavilion, Le10, 000.
