The ongoing ‘airtel surprise’ promotion that was initiated by the company as a Christmas package for its subscribers in the country has transformed to a new year package for poor Sierra Leoneans.
Airtel is the 5th mobile telecommunication company in the world and at the same time, the award winning mobile telecommunication company in Sierra Leone for the year 2010. A total top up of 4,000 units will give subscribers the chance to win the grand prize of Le40 million Leones.
The fifth weekly draw has also benefited another set of 15 airtel subscribers in Sierra Leone with attractive prizes.
This draw was staged live at the Makeni PZ roundabout on the 8th January 2011 in the presence of journalists and multitude of viewers.
Two lucky airtel subscribers’ went home with gift vouchers worth Le800,000 each, two other subscribers won Le 500, 000 each, five won brand new airtel Nokia phones, followed by another five with 1,000 units of airtime.
Mr. John K. Koroma with mobile number 076-601-838 is the lucky winner of a brand new Laptop Computer as the airtel surprise for that week. He expressed happiness to airtel for organizing such a transparent promotion in the country and encouraged Sierra Leoneans to have trust in the new brand as airtel has made his dream come true. “I will serve as an Ambassador to inform people that airtel is here and it’s here to develop the lives of its customers”, he emphasized.
Subscribers with 500 units accumulated during the week or three airtel unlimited enrolments will as well qualify to be part of the weekly draw. The next Weekly draw will be held in Bo town on the 22nd January 2011.
The weekly draw ‘airtel surprise’ items to be won by subscribers include; dining room set, 32i’ LCD TV, Fridge/Freezer/Microwave/2.5kva Generator, air ticket + $400 (to Gambia/Ghana), 3 Months salary worth 1 million Leone for each month, two shopping/gift vouchers worth Le 800,000 each which you could use in any supermarket/stores, boutique, building material stores, spare parts of your choice etc.
