Airtel changes from 076,078 to 079

Airtel Sierra Leone has launched a new network code ‘079’ as a result of Maximum growth in subscriber loyalty across the country, which is epitomized by the innovative and affordable voice and data products designed to ensure customer satisfaction and value for money.
Several customers yesterday lined up at Airtel’s Customer Care Shop at Rawdon Street to buy and register their new network code 079 for Le1,000.00 only.
The Commercial Manager of Airtel Sierra Leone Rufina Adjivon Tucker said at a press conference yesterday that, they are launching the new code of 079 to meet customer demands for special telephone numbers or assigned network.
She said, Airtel has also witnessed growth in subscriber strength more than other network operators in Sierra Leone, thereby causing demands for new network code which has resulted to the launching of 079.
She said subscribers with 076, 078, or 079 will benefit equally on all Airtel services and promotion designed for customers. Additionally she said the 079 code is now available in all retail clients across the country.
The Acquisition Manager of Airtel Sorba Barley explained to journalists and customers about the new code encouraging customers to buy 079 and enjoy a reliable network and to also have the chance to win fantastic and fabulous prices.
He added that Airtel will also re-launch the two sim cards with the lowest rate of 4.5 units per minute rather than the 9 units per minute.
A raffle draw was held for customers for the first 079 sim card which was won by a subscriber a test call to the Managing Director formed a high point of the brief ceremony.
