Ahead of WAFA 1stdivision league… Brookfield’s United selects final team

In preparation for the beginning of the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) 1st Division League scheduled for Mid-March, the Technical Team of the Brookfield’s United Sports Club released its final list of players yesterday at the National Stadium Practicing field, Brookfield’s “Initially fifty players turned up for the pre-season training at the National Stadium. After four weeks of intensive training, the number was reduced to twenty five who will be registered for the new league season,” the Team Manager of the club, Charlie Bio Jnr commented. Chairman of the club, Mohamed Abdul Turay remarked “The club has set up structures which will enhance its smooth running this season and which will bring success to the community. Our main focus this season is to gain promotion into the Premier league and stay there.”
“This season, all twenty five players plus the Technical Staff will be contracted and all of their profiles uploaded into our database. The details will also be displayed on the club’s website which will be launched at the start of the league.” He concluded
Julius Brima Cole Jnr, Secretary General of the club disclosed that the club’s next activity will be trying to increase its membership.

“We are therefore calling on all members of the community to cooperate with us fully so that we will achieve our goal this season,” he ended.
