As Fourah Bay College students are preparing for their 181st inter-hall sports meet slated for tomorrow, President for the Davidson Nicol Hall Mohamed S Kamara has told Awoko Sport that he is ‘confident of winning this year’s sport meet so as to regain the glory that the hall used to have some six years ago.
For the last six years, the hall has been performing poorly on all athletic activities on FBC campus, which the President said’ has almost made the hall synonymous to the last position’.
Speaking on what made him confident of regaining the glory they have lost over the years, Mohamed S Kamara said the hall was currently having a formidable team in all aspects just as it had been over the years but the difference was that they had now improved on a number of areas. ’We are also having a very strong female side which has given me more confidence that we are going to win this year’s athletics competition”, and added that this year would be a make or break situation for them.
He explained that in the early 90s, Davidson Nicol hall used to dominate all sporting activities on campus but that the hall later experienced a declined
