“He can no longer put up with the pain so he gave up the ghost,” this was the word muted around as news flashed that For Di People newspaper’s (FDP) Assistant Production Manager Michael Kulubanda had died at the Emergency Hospital, Goderich where he had been admitted after a fatal accident last Wednesday.
The late Mr Kulubanda was busy collating newspapers at the post office on Wednesday morning when a mini bus (poda-poda) which was speeding down Gloucester Street from the Sam Bangura axis ran into him and two others who were by the roadside.The late man’s case was extremely fatal as he got trapped underneath the mini bus which apparently dragged him on to the junction of Gloucester Street by the intersection with Lightfoot Boston Street.
The helpless man was underneath the mini bus struggling, while his colleagues and other sympathizers dashed to the scene to effect a rescue.
The bruised and battered young man and was immediately taken to the Emergency Hospital where he later died leaving behind a lovely daughter.
Mrs Paul-Karama who was overwhelmed with grief explained, “arrangements are under way for the corpse to be transferred to the mortuary,” noting that they have not yet made any funeral arrangements.
