Africell has once again added another feather to its cap by sponsoring the current Miss University, Stella Bangura to participate in the Miss University Africa 2010 which will be held in May 2010 in Nigeria.
A cheque of Le15m was handed over to Stella last Friday as part of Africell’s contribution towards helping her put Sierra Leone on the map through her magnificent and noble beauty.
Stella Bangura is a second year student of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) where she is pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship.
Arthur Kallon who is Africell’s head of Events and Sponsorship did the presentation on behalf of Africell. He said the idea behind this sponsorship is to once again expose to the international spotlight a conspicuous display of Sierra Leone’s rich culture on the one hand and on the other to learn more about the cultures of other participating countries.
“We consider Stella as another ambassador that has the potential to propel the countries image and good name” Arthur added.
Stella thanked Africell for supporting her towards achieving her life long dream of becoming the beauty pageant of Africa.
“Africell really does things with a difference and I will do my best to put my country on the map” She added.
