Added to the 62 free toll lines which were recently donated to the Sierra Leone police to improve on communication network, yesterday Africell donated another set of 22 free toll lines to police at the conference room at police headquarters at George street Freetown.
Before he presented the free toll lines to police, the Administrative Manager of Africell Abdul Gabbisi, said the contribution towards enhancing police communication is part of their corporate social responsibility, noting that they will continue to monitor it’s effectiveness.
He assured the Sierra Leone police that, they would continue to uphold partnership between them so that they might use communication to reduce crime throughout the country.
He stated the last free lines were used to arrest thieves and stolen vehicles.
The 22 free lines which were distributed accordingly among the South, East and Northern Province include: 6 free toll lines for the LUC South, 6 for LUC East and 10 for LUC North.
Appreciating the gesture on behalf of the Sierra Leone Police, AIG Richard Moigbe said the free toll lines are very useful to their operations as they have been getting a series of problem with communication.
He ended by pleading with Local Unit Commanders to make good use of the opportunity accorded them by Africell.
