ADP flag bearer accused of penetrating girl, 15

Police in Kono have confirmed that they are currently investigating Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray, 2018 flag bearer of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP), for allegedly penetrating a girl below the age of 18, to wit 15. Kamarainba confirmed knowing the young girl in question but denied the allegation he sexually penetrated her.

He said he was kind to the alleged victim’s family, to the point of taking care of her needs, including sending her to school. Kamarainba said he came to know the young lady through a man he described as a ‘Lebanese man’ he said was asking for help to find a job.

He said after becoming aware of the allegation against him via social media, he called the young lady’s relatives, including her father who he said denied reporting the matter to the police. Meanwhile, the LUC in Kono said the matter was reported at the Tankoro Family Support Unit (FSU) by the 16 year old accompanied by a guardian.

He said the investigation is still ongoing.
