Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Adialin Bangura, Miss Sierra Leone 2016 and renowned supermodel, has once again taken the fashion world by storm as she graces the promotional cover for this year’s London Fashion Week (LFW).
In a joint effort by ‘Fashion For Change’ and FIFA Council Member Madam Isha Johansen, this event, scheduled for September 16, 2023, aims to cast a dazzling spotlight on Sierra Leonean fashion houses and designers. The initiative’s objective is to create a global platform for both emerging talents and established designers from Sierra Leone, fostering collaboration and a deeper appreciation for their rich cultural heritage and boundless creativity.
Bangura, celebrated for her magnetic presence on runways and international fashion stages, has become a symbol of beauty and talent hailing from Sierra Leone. In an exclusive interview, she expressed her profound gratitude for the opportunity to grace the LFW promo cover. She remarked, “It’s an absolute dream come true.” She further stated, “I consider it a tremendous honour to represent my country and culture on such a prestigious platform. I have always aspired to leverage my platform to showcase the incredible talent and creativity of Sierra Leonean designers. This opportunity marks a significant step towards that goal.”
Madam Johansen, a dedicated advocate for change in Sierra Leone, played a pivotal role in making this collaboration a reality.
