Ports Authority’s head coach, Daniel Koroma (Diamond Toes), is looking forward to seeing his boys take an ultimate test when they face Gem Stars at the National Stadium in Freetown.
The match is expected to be a very stiff encounter as Gem Stars who are currently at the bottom of the premier league table are fighting a possible relegation. They are coming to town to whip Ports Authority as they did to Central Parade recently at the National Stadium in Freetown.
Any result apart from a win for Gem Stars will affect the team’s standard in the league greatly.
Ports Authority on the other hand would be going in full swing to defeat their opponents Gem Stars to keep their hope alive for the championship. But if they fail to win today’s encounter they are out of the race for the championship.
And Coach Toes will have a serious problem to answer which will likely cause him his job. So he has to do every thing possible to make sure that his boys dominate the day at all cost.
On Saturday at the National Stadium Mount Aureol, who are also fighting relegation, will host Diamond Stars of Kono in a match they have vowed to win if they are to still keep their place in the premier league or go back to division one. Mount Aureol, who lost their last match at home to Wusum Stars by two goals to nil, are now determined to win all their remaining matches to stay in the premier league.
In the last match during the weekend on Sunday, East End Lions will engage Nepean Stars of Bo at the National Stadium, and Lions will be going all out for a win to secure 39 points out of 23 matches played so far.
The league continues next weekend.
