Abu Kanu who was out of the country for about three months has returned to boost Old Edwardians in today’s encounter against Kamboi Eagles in Kenema which football fans has describe as a thriller as both teams is going for a win to have a better standing.
Old Edwardians trainer Amidu Koroma said the inclusion of Abu Kanu has been a big boost to the team as they are going for revenge after losing to them in the first round at the National Stadium 1-2. Amidu said even though Kamboi Eagles has defeated all the big teams during the second round they are going into the match to give them some break as they are going all out to upset them and secure all three points even though it is not going to be an easy task
The coach assured supporters that the worst result they will be coming from Kenema, will be a draw. On the other hand, Kamboi Eagles who have upset the big clubs in the league will be going all out to continue with their winning spree at least to end the league to be among the first five teams. At the Bo Coronation Field, Nepean Stars will host relegated Gem Stars who have not won a single match in the league. Nepean Stars is going all out to win and secure the three vital points which will be very important for the team but if they fail to win they will still create serious problem for the team as they are fighting relegation. As for Gem Stars, a win or loss does not mean anything to the team as they have already relegated. In Kono on the same day, Diamond Stars will host Bo Ranges who are determine to win the match to be in a more secured position as they too are fighting relegation. Diamond Stars on the other hand they cannot afford to lose to Bo Rangers as they too are fighting hard to secure the third position in the league. They need to win all their remaining matches and their rival lost some to secure third spot.
At the National Stadium Freetown, Freetown City FC will host Wusum Stars in another exciting match as both teams are going for a win, but the coach of Freetown City FC Ajina Sesay is confident of victory to extend their points to 29. A win for Wusum Stars will take them to six position in the league tabl.
The big match for the weekend will see FC Kallon battling with Mighty Blackpool in a cracker that will see FC Kallon going for revenge after losing to Mighty Blackpool in the first round.
If FC Kallon wins on Sunday, they will almost be on the verge of winning this year’s championship depending on the result of their rival East End Lions in their remaining four matches.
