A total of 57 goals have been scored so far in this year’s Salone Premier League which is sponsored by a Comium-Led Corporate Team, out of the 49 matches played so far with 42 matches remaining to end the league.
Out of these 57 goals 32 have been scored at the national Stadium with the balance 25 goals scored in the different matches in the provinces. So far 23 matches have been played in Freetown while 26 in the regions.
Out of these 57 goals scored the highest goal scorers are East End lions who are currently leading the table with 9 goals, Central Parade accounting for 7 goals while FC Kallon and Blackpool have 5 goals each.
In last Monday’s Salone Premier League match which was played at the Bo Coronation field, Nepean Stars and Wusum Stars played to a goalless draw after an exciting 90 minutes with both teams missing possible scoring chances.
The league will continue over the weekend with the East End derby between East End Lions and Ports Authority, a match football fans have described as a match of two equals.
