The organizing Secretary and the coordinator of the Kono District football Association Alhaji Yengema has also disclosed to Awoko Sports that four Guinean players will join Diamond Stars Football club to beef up the team for this year’s premier league which will start soon.
He also mentioned that apart from the 4 Guinean players other players will come on board in the coming years to boost the team which is the dream of their sponsor Overseas Investor.
He warned any team that is going to Kono to play against Diamond Stars that they will not survive in Kono as they are going to collect all three points at home and in their away matches they are going to play for at least a draw.
This they believe will place them in a better position in the league as they are going for the championship this time around.
He also disclosed that after Diamond Stars defeated East End Lions by a goal to nil in Kono over the weekend their sponsor donated three sets of jersey and 20 pairs of boots to the team and they have over two thousand T Shirts for supporters and officials of Diamond Stars which will arrival next month from Osman Sham of Overseas Investor.
Alhaji went further that they are appealing to other people of Kono who have the team in their heart to come on board to assist the team in the coming premier league season.
