Over 15 students from the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology (MMCET) Goderich Campus have been suspended by the college administration by what they term riotous behavior.One of the suspended students, Victor Kamara, a final year student of the Bachelor of Education, told Awoko that the IRC club which is part of the college had their usual weekly meeting at the Ocean View night club.“After the meeting, the group from the Congo Cross and New England Campuses were returning when they were attacked by an opposition group from the Goderich campus. So the group from these two colleges then went to Goderich Campus where this group met m e inspecting the painting at certain areas of the compound.”Victor further stated that from that point fighting ensure between the two groups.”The final year student disclosed that the investigating committee was formed to looked into the issue but that only few students were called as witnesses and whatever those students said was taken as the gospel truth.Victor Kamara said that among the other students suspended, he was the only one in campus as the others have finished their courses .The final year education student stated that he had no power to stop the students as both groups were very large in number.He pleaded to the committee to look into his matter again because there were over 30 students involved in the fracas.
