The Technical Team of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) headed by the Technical Director, Sam Obi Metzger, has invited 15 foreign-based and 17 home based players for the crucial match against Egypt at the National Stadium on September 3, 2011.
The match is qualifying rounds of the African Nations’ Cup, with the list of invited players the same as for the Niger match which Sierra Leone won by a lone goal some months ago at home.
The coming match is very important for Sierra Leone, as a win against Egypt will give them hope of qualifying for the African Nations’ Cup next year.
The foreign-based players include: Christian Caulker, John Trye, Ibrahim Koroma, David Simbo, Umaru Bangura, Ibrahim Kargbo, Sheriff Suma, Mohamed Medo Kamara, Rodney Strasser, Samuel Ballay, Alfred Sankoh, Kei Kamara, Ibrahim Tetteh Bangura, Mohamed Bangura and Sam Obi Metzger.
The home based players are Alpha Lansana, Desmond Wellington, Ishmail Turay, Mohamed Fornah, Alfree Sanu, Baimba Kamara, Iyamusa Sesay, Idrissa Sesay, Emmerson Samba, Ayo King, Foday Samura, Ibrahim Fofanah, Muwaide Sesay, Mohamed Daddy Conteh, Salieu Kamara, Habib Sesay and Munia Kanneh.
