Based on the available resources from the Road Users Fund, the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) has lined up 12 streets and roads in the city for effective maintenance activities.
The chief regional engineer Western region, Mrs. Memuna Jalloh who is overseeing the maintenance exercise, indicates the use of premix patching on these street and broads which will not only do away with the potholes but also provide smooth and safe drive for motorists and commuters.
During this month the following streets and roads will be patched using premix: King, Dundas, West, Macauley, A.J. Momoh, Savage and Macdonald Streets, coupled with, Fourah Bay Road, Mountain Cut, Regent Road — Hill Station, Spur Road and High Broad Street at Murray Town.
The exercise, which commenced early this week, is the phase one of the premix patching and it is the intention of SLRA to keep the public abreast of subsequent phases of the exercise.
