In what could be described as a moment of transformation that marks a turning point in the life of one of the10 qualifiers for Africell’s Win Your Dream Promotion, the dream of Patrick Martin George has become a reality after he was pronounced the lucky winner of the most coveted Africell’s Win Your Dream Promotion. His dream to have a house has come true.
Kadiatu Bangura, Patrick Martin George and Richard Kamara made it to the final stage after seven of the qualifiers were eliminated through a transparent manual selection that was done by a blind kid Mohamed Kamara from the Milton Margai School for the Blind.
Patrick George a Legal officer at the Anti Corruption Commission was pronounced the lucky winner by the Minister of Information and Communication Alhaji Ibrahim Ben Kargbo after the blind boy picked up his name from the bottle.
He preferred the house to the other four options that he had at his disposal which includes Scholarship to study abroad, a Farm, a Shop and an E-Class Mercedes Benz.
When a specimen key of his dream house was handed over to him, he said “Africell has made my dream come true because I have always dreamt of having my own house and I thank God that Africell has made it a reality” the proud winner said.
The three bedrooms well furnished house with two toilets and a garden will be built at any location of the winner’s choice.
The seven qualifiers that were dropped at the first stage were given Le2 million each while Kadiatu Bangura and Richard Kamara won Le5 million each as runners up.
The Minister of Information and Communication, in his statement commended Africell for not only making the dreams of its subscribers come true but more importantly their role in national development.
He said Africell is the topmost GSM Company in the country and giant in the communication industry.
The Managing Director of Africell Robert Khoury congratulated the winner Patrick George and the other nine qualifiers for participating in the Win Your Dream Promotion.
“We will never stop dreaming and each time we dream we make sure that it becomes reality” he added.
The MD formally disclosed the Africell new logo and their new mission statement which has now changed from “Bringing people closer” to “number 1 for all the reasons.”
