Company Secretary for Sierra Leone Brewery Limited, Albert Collier, has stressed that, his company cherishes its customers to the point that, they would always want to meet their satisfaction.
Collier was speaking to newsmen recently in reaction to recent newspaper publications that, their Maltina product is a killer product and not fit for human consumption.
It could be recalled that, a local tabloid recently reported that, one Ibrahim Mansaray of UN Radio discovered a foreign substance in a bottle of Maltina while consuming the product. The paper in question reportedly quoted an insert from the UN Radio where the said Ibrahim Mansaray is alleged to have discovered the foreign substances in a bottle of Maltina.
Meanwhile, the Finance Department Manager and Acting General Manager George Padi stated that, the article was malicious and calculated to tarnish the good image and reputation of the Sierra Leone Brewery Limited since they were never contacted first by the paper for their own side.
He said, they are not disputing the assertion by Ibrahim Mansaray of UN Radio that, he drank a bottle of the product and found foreign substance in the bottle but however stated that, the alleged foreign substance are not in any way related to the items “we use in our production process”
He disclosed that, Brewery, as part of its social corporate responsibility has established procedures for handling consumers complaints and that they have efficient systems in place to address issues including laboratory equipped with instruments for critical analysis of samples from the trade.
Journalists were taken on a conducted tour by Brewery Management to see the equipment and the lab where all products are first tested before they are taken to the public for consumption.
