The secretary general of Ports Authority, Idriss Tarawalie aka Mago has told Awoko Sports in a telephone interview that they can still win the premier league with six games at hand.
Mago noted that they were second in the league with goal differences but that did mean they could not win the competition.
“We have been leading the table of the league from the first round and we can still take over the lead… it is a matter of time…we should have been still leading the table if not for poor refereeing which have deprived us of winning vital matches,” he noted.
He said the last match they lost against Kallon FC had some effects on the team’s standing, but that they could still turn things around by winning all their remaining matches and scoring more goals.
Mago said he had told his boys to be more focused this time around and that nothing could stop them from representing Sierra Leone in next year’s continental competition “as we have what it takes as a team to do so.”
He also mentioned that the remaining matches must be a matter of win for his boys at all cost if they were to lift the trophy.
