The campaign chairman for the Dream team Idrissa Tarawillie (Mago) has said in Freetown that they are disappointed with the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA)
He made this statement at the football academy at Kingtom during their meeting with some members of the SLFA executive when they decided to postpone an elective congress that should have paved the way for a new executive.
Mago stated that article 12 of the constitution has told them their right as stakeholders and the executive must invite them to congress at the expiration of their term and they failed on that.
While the date was 28-29 of May and because of that they wrote a letter and they said that they are going have an executive meeting and the letter that they have written will be part of the agenda.
After the meeting the executive came out with their decision and we are disappointed to hear the decision through the media.
Mago went further that this executive failed to call an extra –ordinary congress last year and they attended a meeting with President Kadi where the administrative secretary Abubakkar Kabba was also present and he said that the extra-ordinary congress will take on the 20th January this year knowing very well that the Africa Nations cup is going to start and nobody communicated it with them.
We were also disappointed with the SLFA which does not have any respect for the stakeholders they only take decision on their own without informing them they always go against the constitution which brought them to power.
He went further that they decided to postpone this elective congress again without notifying them. Also instead of notifying them in the fastest way possible they called a press conference to inform us through the media.
