The President of the National Olympic Committee in Sierra Leone Henry Moore has disclosed to Awoko Sports that the just concluded general assembly in China was a success.
President Moore said that during the general meeting their were regional meetings of the association of national Olympic committees of Africa where they discussed the way forward for their various associations.
He noted that the Olympic Solidarity explained about their assistance and support and about all their achievements over the past years.
President Moore disclosed that the next Olympic games with be hosted in London by 2012 and a team from London was also present during the general assembly to explain about their preparation for the games.
He mentioned that all the committee presidents of the regional groups presented their report of their activities for the last two years.
He noted that the last general assembly was in 2006 in Seoul and he said they were able to attend outside conferences and discuss about the youth camp that takes place every Olympic games with two representative from each country a boy and a girl below 18 years.
He disclosed that their Village is different from the Olympic Village and on their arrival they will identify the sports they have interest in to witness and during the game they will be taken along to witness such sporting activities
