Two Members of Parliament, Hon Nuru Deen Sankoh Yillah of Constituency 105 and Hon Tunde Lewally of Constituency 104, have disclosed to Awoko Sports that the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) executive should resign with immediate effect.
They mentioned that the team’s performance against Super Eagles of Nigeria was below standard, as adequate preparation was not made prior to the match. The two MPs placed the blame entirely on the SLFA Management, whom they accused of in-fighting.
They disclosed that as Members of Parliament, they have the authority to take such decisions, pointing out that after the resignation of the entire Executive, a Commission of Enquiry should be set up to probe into their affairs.
The MPs disclosed that the present SLFA Executive does not have love for the game and that those with love and passion for the game have been pushed aside.
