The Hollywood star who has found his ancestral home in Sierra Leone, Isaiah Washington has said Sierra Leone does not need pity but respect and dignity in the face of the International Community.
The Sierra Leonean star is in the country and at a Press conference on Saturday at the Foreign Affairs Ministry; he said he was overwhelmed the first day he touched down in Sierra Leone to trace his ancestral home.
Isaiah Washington also said Sierra Leone was the place and the people of his dream and that because of the country’s legacy, she deserved much respect. He emphatically said the United States would not have existed today without the influence of Sierra Leoneans taken as slaves.
The Director General of Foreign Affairs, Sullay Daramy said the Ministry was engaged positively in selling the country and to attract the best.
