After facing sharp criticisms from the minority SLPP in Parliament over government policies and especially the handling of the Wanza and Income Eletrix saga, the deputy majority leader of the APC, Hon S.B.B Dumbuya has called on the SLPP to ‘leave them alone’
He was on Tuesday responding to criticisms from three SLPP MPs, Hon Elizabeth Lavalie, Tamba Sam and Foday Rado Yokie critiquing government’s ineptitude in some areas.
He told Parliament that where the SLPP had failed the APC will definitely succeed.
That message sent the House in to uproar with shouts and table tapings from the SLPP side shouting ‘no we are not going to leave you’. That continued for a considerable period of time until the speaker, Justice Nathaniel Abel Stronge cautioned them to allow the MP continue his debate.
The Deputy Majority Leader further stated that they in the APC have a tradition; but he was interrupted with undertones from the SLPP that the APC tradition was cocaine, violence and thuggery.
The Deputy leader stood the heat and continued to kick against the criticism that the APC is indulged in discrimination in governance.
He stressed that the SLPP is always bitter when electricity was mentioned and whenever the successes of the APC are mentioned, the SLPP becomes jittery.
