Ambassador designate to the People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Abubakarr Jalloh has assured that he would do his utmost best to ensure that he portrays the interest of Sierra Leone in his new assignment.
Speaking on the eve of his departure after he took leave of Vice President Alhaji Sam Sumana, he told Awoko that “I am going to explore all possible avenues that will benefit Sierra Leone.”
He affirmed that President Koroma had charged him to ensure that the country benefits tremendously from the bilateral ties between both countries and this he had pledged to fulfill to the fullest.
Ambassador designate Jalloh further disclosed that his focus would not be limited to any particular aspect but he has in mind agriculture, sports and other areas that would be of assistance to the development strides of President Koroma and the people of Sierra Leone.
He assured the Vice President that he would definitely live up to the expectation of government and the people of Sierra Leone in the discharge of his duties in Libya as he is determined to ensure that the relationship between both countries thrives.
Responding, Vice President Sumana congratulated him on his appointment and noted that his appointment is no mistake, as he fulfilled all the potential criteria, and he is of the opinion that with him at the helm of affairs the country would benefit from the bilateral ties with Libya.
The Vice President further assured him of government’s continued support in discharging his duties, and noted that “history will judge you during your tenure of office.”
