‘We have big programmes for the youth’- APC spokesman

The spokesman for the ruling All People’s Congress (APC), Alhaji Alpha Kanu, in an exclusive says, “we have big programmes for the youth” 
He states that, “youths are part of the support base of our party and they constituent the largest proportion group in Sierra Leone”.
The spokesman notes that, “if you work without the youth you are working in the minority and we want to work with the majority and these are the people who are the future of Sierra Leone”.
Alhaji Alpha Kanu discloses that there will be various youth programmes, employment programmes, temporary jobs, tech voc institutions to go to; there will be educational programmes, university education for the youth and that there will be scholarships and grants for the youth.
On the issue of those with disabilities, he avers that they have their own office at the party headquarters, and that they have their own representation in parliament.  
“Those with disabilities are part of our party’s machinery, they are part of the decision making of this party; we are looking after all the societies even the deaf and dumb they have their own office and we even have people who can communicate in sign language with them,” he maintains.
For the women, he points out that “the APC’s biggest support base is from woman. They form a large majority than their menfolk in the party support base. Therefore the APC will have to strengthen and empower women in Sierra Leone”.
Spokesman Kanu upholds that His Excellency Ernest Bai Koroma is cognizance of the fact that women can make a big difference when they are in government.
