The president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Sierra Leone, Henry Moore, over the weekend disclosed to Awoko Sports that the visit of Pamela Vipond the deputy director of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Solidarity was very important to the committee.
He said her visit to Sierra Leone was a fixed programme for the Solidarity and the main reason was to discuss NOC’s programmes and try to meet with beneficiaries.
Henry Moore mentioned that during her four-day visit, she was able to hold meetings with about 20 different personalities within the NOC Sierra Leone.
The NOC president also revealed that Pamela Vipond would be visiting four different NOCs in Africa before December 25.
He said, “this visit will also help the sponsor to know how they are getting on with the committee in terms of the help they are rendering.”
Moore further stated that with such visit they would be able to identify their shortcomings and that during her visit they were able to identify the various programmes and even some of those they were not using.
