The newly crowned champion of the ECOWAS cycling for peace race for the Mano River Union Countries Augustine Sesay has told Awoko Sports that his dream of winning the competition has come true.
He stated that he is proud that his name has been written in the book that he has won the competition after Shadrack Williams had won it twice.
Winning that competition he said was not an easy task as his fellow contestants from other countries have developed a lot especially the Liberian Cyclists.
Augustine disclosed that he had been training for several months ahead of the competition and the ‘tour du Faso’ also helped him win the competition as he was able to learn some skills from some of the Super cyclists in the competition.
He went further that he is expecting next year’s competition to be a bigger one than the previous one as more countries will be coming on board to take part in the competition – countries like Nigeria and a host of others.
He stated that he was looking forward to the next competition which is expected to be hosted by Nigeria and will be going there well prepared as the defending champion.
