The Desk officer and the National coach Cyril Panda have responded to the letter that was written to him by the cricket executive to replace him with Solomon Fatoma.
In his letter to them, he stated that it was a pity that the SLCA executive was not knowledgeable of his links with the International Cricket Council (ICC) that has existed since 1998.
He mentioned in the letter that all programmes and reports have always been forwarded to the ICC. According to information to the Regional Development for Africa (RDM) and the organizer of the tournament, was not to secure visas but to inform them of the delegation that will be going to Toronto.
In any case everybody is entitled to visa application clearance to travel to Canada.
In another development, David Thorley the Tournament Director said in accordance with the ICC board meeting the ICC U-19 CWC 2010 was moved from Kenya to New Zealand. With this change, Kenya lost their automatic qualifying spot.
Six teams will qualify from the ICC U-19 CWC qualifiers in Toronto to join the 10 full members in the ICC U-19 CWC 2010.
