The Technical Director of the National Boxing Association Lumprie Sisay said that he was impressed with the female boxers’ performance in the just concluded boxing competition organized by the female commission of the association at the Brima Attouga complex at cline town.
Director Sisay said that with the kind of performances displayed during the competition it is a sign that they have a lot of prospects in the sports if only they are given support by the association and government. He stated that they needed enough support if they are expected to bring more laurels home and put Sierra Leone on the female boxing map.
The technical Director went further that he has no doubt in any of the female boxers as they can represent Sierra Leone in any international female boxing competition as they have a lot of skills to match any of their opponent in other countries.
He said that over the past years these female boxers have learned a lot from the male boxers and can now perform in such a superb manner.
