The Sierra Leone International Lawn Tennis Player Samuel P. Jalloh has disclosed to Awoko sports that to become a good tennis player or a potential professional player, you need to begin at the correct age. At a minimum of 3 years old or a maximum of 6 years old.
He mentioned that by the time a child reaches the age of 10, he /she should have already mastered nearly all of the basic skills and show signs of becoming a champion/national representative.
Samuel Jalloh also revealed that his aim is to help develop Lawn Tennis in the country and try to give chance to the young children who have the strong passion and talent to grow within the game.
He also disclosed that in the modern day Tennis, there is selection of balls to help all players, from beginner to professional level.
He also mentioned that rackets range from 16-27.5 inches long this is used to enable all the players at all ages to be able to play with the racket that matches their different strengths and abilities.
