The Technical Director of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School Musa Emmanuel Mansaray has disclosed to Awoko Sports that this year’s sports meeting at the national stadium is the best so far organized this year.
He said this was why he was surprised with a publication in one of the local newspapers accusing the Ahmadiyya pupils of being involved in violence after the school meeting on their way home.
Describing the allegations as untrue, Mr Mansaray said the publication sought to damage the good image of the school and the mission which they have built over the past years.
This he said did not go down well with them in the administration as the said reporters did not get their own side of the story before going to the press, an action which he said was not fair to the school and the mission.
Musa also disclosed that the Director of Sports Bai Kabia described the Ahmadiyya Sports meeting as the best so far since he became Director of Sports and that was why after the sports meeting Bai Kabia personally gave him the sum of one hundred thousand Leones as appreciation for the professional manner in which the sports was organized
He pointed out that the publication wants to discourage the school from taking part in the inter – secondary school competition which will start next week.
He accused their detractors of being afraid of them and that is why but he has assuring them that they are going to take part and lift the trophy again because they have some of the best athletes in the country currently.
He also disclosed that over the past years most of the athletes that have represented this country were from Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School.
With the kind of development presently going on in the school he said Ahmadiyya is above violence and the pupils are disciplined in and out of the school because of the stance of the principal and the teachers who he boasted are now in full control of the pupils.
